ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and clean up construction site
• Move materials and equipment and perform demolition, excavation and compaction activities
• Handle and distribute construction materials (e.g. load and unload vehicles with supplies, equipment and construction materials; move tools, equipment and construction materials to and from work areas; remove rubble and other debris)
• Spot for equipment operators when required
• Sparkwatch/ firewatch
• General site maintenance
• Snow removal when required

We are looking for a couple of Maintenance Workers to join our TEAM. We pay a fair hourly wage, and have staff accommodations close to the resort for only $8 per day, which includes internet and cable.

Apprentice:$16-$18 Someone with minimal to no professional painting experience.

Painter: $18-$20 Someone able to paint most substrates with supervision of a Lead Painter.

Lead Painter: $20-$25 Someone able to paint a project without supervision and manage most projects when a crew leader is absent.

Crew Leader: $25-$30 Someone who can paint and manage all projects and make team members better through daily training and mentoring.

Responsibilities:

• Repairs, prepares and performs general maintenance to walls, ceilings and other surfaces in order to apply a variety of paints, materials and textures to surfaces (e.g. spray painting, stippling, texturing, drywall taping, plastering, adhesives, vinyl wall coverings, etc.).
• Orders materials and supplies as required.
• Mixes colours and tints paint from a variety of descriptions and matches existing colours on surfaces for which colour charts are sometimes no longer available.
• Prepares special mixes and applications which will resist damage for certain surfaces (e.g. epoxies, textures, etc.).
• Strips, repairs and refinishes hardwood floors and furniture and uses stains to match existing surfaces.
• Acts as a consultant to departments, supervisors, contractors and students and recommends types of finishes to be applied to given surfaces.
• Supervises painting projects as required or assigned.
• Researches new techniques, products and methods to apply new finishes to surfaces.
• Maintains a record of completed tasks (finishes, time requirements, colour, work area, dates, etc.) for future reference.
• Acts on job requisitions and brings them to completion.
• Maintains work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Works with other trades in Facilities on repair and renovation projects.
• Assists in evacuations, according to procedures, in a safe and responsible manner, whenever necessary.
• Is responsible for security, maintenance and repair of all tools and equipment.

Commercial painter. Interior and exterior painting professional. Skilled in patching, brush, roll, spray and masking. Must have drivers license and a minimum of 5 years painting experience.
