Celebrating Women in Construction
MCSC's Commitment to Inclusive Construction
MCSC in service of women in the trades
MCSC takes pride of being committed to foster diversity and inclusion within the construction industry. With the generous support of the Government of Manitoba, we collaborate with industry leaders and stakeholders to create innovative programs aimed at empowering underrepresented groups, including women, to embark on successful careers in construction.
We do this by hosting an annual woman in trades conference, hosting a woman in trades workshop, an employer workshop for recruiting and retaining women, and by featuring women’s success stories in publications and social media.
EmpowHer Women in Trades Mentorship Program
The EmpowHer program is a first-of-its-kind multi-sector, collaborative project designed to prepare women for employment in the construction, film or manufacturing industries in Manitoba.
