Program runs: NOVEMBER 6, 2023 to FEBRUARY 09, 2024 – 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Holiday break December 23, 2023 to January 7, 2024)
EmpowHER is the first one of a kind multi-Sector, collaborative project designed to prepare women for employment in the construction, Film or Manufacturing industries in Manitoba.
The goal of this project is to work with female and female-identifying participants to develop the required skills for successful entry into underrepresented, entry-level occupations in one of three sectors.
Four Weeks – Job readiness and career awareness
One Week – Industry-specific safety training
Two Weeks – Skills for Success with Workplace Education Manitoba (WEM)
Two Weeks – Industry technical training
On-the-job experience in one of the three sectors, with potential for ongoing employment
Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
