Description

The Manitoba Construction Sector Council collaborated with industry partners to develop an Introduction to Project Management course for Indigenous leaders and highly skilled immigrants. The course helps construction managers and company owners address the complex human resource issues that are part of a contemporary workforce. Leading a workforce at a senior level requires project management fundamentals, negotiation, estimating, accounting and quality management.

After completing this course (15 modules) and the course quiz, participants receive a certificate and transcript from the Manitoba Construction Sector Council.

Course Duration

  • 3 weeks, Full Time

Entrance Requirements

Applicants should have:

  • Minimum of 2 years in a senior-level, supervisory position within a construction company
  • Grade 10 Math (20S)
  • Grade 10 English Language Arts (20F)

If educated outside of Canada, applicants must also have an English Language Proficiency of CLB 6+ or equivalent

Accreditation

After successful completion of the course, graduates will receive a certificate from Manitoba Construction Sector Council.

Completion Requirements

Minimum grade of 75% for course/program quiz

Credit Transfer

Learners who successfully complete this course have the potential to receive course credit in the Site Supervisor in Construction Certificate atRed River College or Assiniboine Community College.
