Description
In 2012, the Manitoba Construction Sector Council collaborated with industry partners to revise the New Construction Supervisor Course. Learners will be presented with a variety of activities, such as case studies, simulations, group work and individual reflection, to ensure that new supervisors practice their problem solving abilities and make better decisions. After completing this course (12 modules) and the course quiz, participants receive a certicate and transcript from the Manitoba Construction Sector Council.

Entrance Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Minimum of 2 – 3 years experience as a skilled labourer in a construction company
- Grade 10 Math (20S)
- Grade 10 English Language Arts (20F)
If educated outside of Canada, applicants must also have an English Language Proficiency of CLB 6+ or equivalent
Accreditation
After successful completion of the course, graduates can apply for 7 Gold Seal credits from the Canadian Construction Association.
Completion Requirements
Minimum grade of 75% for course/program quiz
Credit Transfer
Learners who successfully complete this course have the potential to receive course credit in the Site Supervisor in Construction Certificate at Red River College or Assiniboine Community College

Program Assistant
Harleen assists MCSC project managers in preparing training and presentation materials for program delivery. She supports the financial manager with administration requirements and databases.
