Manitoba Construction Sector Council has collaborated with industry partners to create a carpentry finisher course to address specific training gaps in the homebuilding industry throughout Manitoba. This program focuses specifically on finishing a house. It is designed for the construction worker who has completed the MCSC Framer course, the Residential Flatwork Technician course or has equivalent construction experience. The finisher course combines classroom and practical learning activities. It will teach technical skills (knowledge of tools, equipment and processes) and will embed safety training and Essential Skills throughout the program (reading, measurement document use, communication, physical dexterity, working with others).
