MCSC is busy delivering its newest carpentry framer course in Bunibonibee Cree Nation, a fly-in community located about 650 kilometers northeast of Winnipeg.

MCSC is busy delivering its newest carpentry framer course in Bunibonibee Cree Nation, a fly-in community located about 650 kilometers northeast of Winnipeg. All 15 students are Indigenous women and have spent the last few months learning basic carpentry skills before embarking on their practicum project of constructing a woodshed from the ground up. At the conclusion of their training, the graduates will be divided up into two crews and will be employed by the First Nation to help build 21 new houses in the community.
