Job Description
Reporting to the Director, Corporate Tax, as the Tax Accountant you will maintain records and filing
systems of corporate returns, information reports, taxable income forecasts and instalment
requirements. You also prepare information for audits and provide annual tax provisions for financial
statements.

Principal Duties
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
• Preparing tax returns, entity provisions and supporting documents for federal and provincial tax
returns for all Canadian partnerships and corporations.
• Acting as the first point of contact for GST inquiries, and other income tax inquiries.
• Reconciling tax accounts and preparing adjusting journal entries.
• Preparing projected taxable income statements and determining instalments required.
• Assisting in researching, preparing and submitting documentation in response to governmenttax
audits for all Canadian partnerships and corporations.
• Identifying and reporting on tax risk areas and opportunities.

Qualifications
Essential Requirements
• CPA designation.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Canadian Dedicated Tax Accounting role.
• Enrolled in or completion of In-depth Tax course, Masters of Tax, or equivalent
experience/knowledge.
• Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel and
PowerPoint), and comfortable using accounting and tax preparation software (NewStar, Tax
Prep).
