Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, as the Drafting Technician you are responsible for providing
support throughout the design, construction, and close-out of projects, including multi-family,
residential, and commercial projects.

Location: One Dr. David Friesen Drive, Winnipeg (Sage Creek)

Closing Date: October 15, 2024

Principal Duties

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
• Preparing drawings accurately and consistently with project specifications and requirements,
including construction drawing sets, sales and marketing drawings, preliminary site planning,
and miscellaneous detail drawings.
• Establishing and utilizing standardized drafting practices, details, and templates for CAD
drawings.
• Quantifying and qualifying materials required for projects.
• Supporting the Project Manager throughout the development, building permitting, project
tender, and construction processes.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date record-keeping system, including file management and
pricing and product information.
• Providing administrative support to other projects or duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements
• Post-secondary education or certificate in Drafting, Computer Aided Design (CAD), Auto CAD
Technician or related field.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD is required. Proficiency with Revit is not required, but beneficial.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Team, SharePoint and
PowerPoint).
• Ability to prepare and review drawings and text with a high level of detail to ensure accuracy,
consistency, and completeness.
• Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior drafting experience is not required but would be considered as an asset.
