Job Description

As a Concrete Technician with 204 Demolition and Salvage, you will play an important role in our day-today operations. You will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to concrete cutting,
demolition, and removal. Your duties will include setting up and operating various concrete cutting
equipment such as core drills, hand saws, floor saws, wall saws, and wire saws, ensuring precise and
safe cuts according to project specifications. You will collaborate closely with other team members to
prepare job sites, mark cutting lines, and follow stringent safety protocols. Additionally, you will assist in
the maintenance and repair of equipment, monitor and manage concrete slurry and debris, and
contribute to a clean and organized work environment. Your expertise with diverse cutting tools and
attention to detail will help us deliver high-quality results while upholding our commitment to safety and
environmental stewardship.

Principal Duties

Key responsibilities include:
• Concrete Cutting & Coring
o Utilize specialized equipment, such as core drills, hand saws, floor saws, flat saws, wall
saws and wire saws, to cut concrete, asphalt, and other masonry materials according to
project specifications.
o Ensure precision and accuracy in all cutting tasks, considering factors like depth, angle,
and location.
o Follow established safety protocols and industry best practices to minimize risks
associated with cutting operations.
• Site Preparation
o Prepare work areas for cutting operations by clearing debris, marking cut lines, and
ensuring the surrounding area is secure.
o Protect adjacent structures and surfaces from damage during cutting activities.
• Equipment Maintenance
o Perform routine maintenance and inspections of cutting equipment to ensure proper
functionality and safety.
o Report any equipment issues or malfunctions promptly via the proper channels.
• Site Cleanup
o Keep the work site clean and organized at all times.
o Dispose of debris and waste materials in designated containers or locations.
o Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored after use.

Qualifications

Qualifications include:
• Valid Class 5 or greater Driver’s License.
• Experience in concrete cutting or related construction work.
• Basic knowledge of workplace safety practices.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery.
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform strenuous tasks in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift and carry 75 lbs.
• Strong mechanical skills and understanding.
• Effective communication skills.
