We are currently hiring a full-time, experienced Carpenter to join our team. The ideal individual has an extensive background in building and managing all areas of residential renovations and new home construction and in working with sub-trades.
Job Details
Principal Duties
● Planning, organizing and carrying-out journey person-level rough and finish carpentry in the alteration and construction of residential buildings.
● Reading and interpreting project plans and blueprints to determine the appropriate materials, time, equipment, and supplies needed.
● Managing the construction site, including sub-trades and their tasks, ensuring alignment, project progress, and quality work.
● Carrying out the range of carpentry tasks: demolition, framing, insulation, drywalling, flooring, painting, cabinet installation, finish carpentry, window and door installations.
● Assisting with basic plumbing and electrical tasks.
● Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
● Collaborating with other members of the construction team, and maintaining strong working relationships with employees, trade partners, and homeowners.
● Completing any required paperwork, and checking that proper permits and documentation is in place as required.
Qualifications
● A passion for carpentry, and a drive to produce quality work.
● A commitment to punctuality, hard work, and worksite safety.
● Five or more years of carpentry experience with knowledge of other trades such as plumber, electrician, etc.
● A valid Driver’s License, your own work tools, and preferably, your own work truck.
● Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
● Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time.
