Job Description

As a Labourer with 204 Demolition and Salvage, you will be an essential part of our team, contributing to the successful completion of projects. You will assist with a variety of tasks including the demolition of interior and exterior structures, debris removal, and material handling. Your duties will involve operating  various power tools and equipment, cleaning and preparing job sites, loading and unloading materials,  and disposing of waste safely and efficiently. You will work closely with other team members to ensure
projects are completed on time and to our high standards of quality and safety. Additionally, you will be  responsible for following all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a secure work environment. Your hard work and dedication will help us uphold our reputation for excellence in the demolition industry.

Principal Duties

Key responsibilities include:
• Demolition Assistance
o Assist in the safe and efficient demolition of interior and exterior structures.
o Use hand tools and power tools as directed for demolition tasks.
o Building and dismantling of temporary structures and scaffolding.
o Creation of exclusion zones around job sites.
o Traffic control and signaling for equipment operators.
• Material Handling
o Load & unload materials, tools, and equipment as required.
o Load & unload waste and debris.
o Safely transport materials within the job site.
• Site Cleanup
o Keep the work site clean and organized at all times.
o Dispose of debris and waste materials in designated containers or locations.
o Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored after use.
• Team Collaboration
o Work collaboratively with team members to achieve project goals.
o Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
o Offer assistance and support when required.
• Safety Compliance
o Strictly adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols.
o Report any safety hazards, incidents, or near misses immediately.
o Wear all personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Qualifications

Qualifications include:
• Valid Class 5 or greater Driver’s License.
• Experience working within demolition or construction trades.
• Basic knowledge of workplace safety practices.
• Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform strenuous tasks in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift and carry 75 lbs.
• Strong mechanical skills and understanding.
